Who are we?

Grupos Organizados is a family run company that specializes in the total immersion of the English language. Our five day stay is adapted for school students at both primary and secondary level. We have over twenty years experience working and teaching students through English.

Our work focuses on creating an ideal environment for students to practice their English in a fun and energetic way. This main objective is obtainable by Grupos Organizados because of our wide variety of infrastructure which allows the students to enjoy outdoor sports both at sea and in the mountains.

The other key element of our company´s success is our large team of NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKING MONITORS. Our native speaking monitors work with each school group throughout their stay while only speaking in English with each and every child.

With all of these basic elements Grupos Organizados tailor makes a programme for each group while taking into account the age and the level of English of the group.

Carol Bradsahw

Founder

Carol, a native of the United Kingdom is the founder of Grupos Organizados. She has over twenty years of experience working with Spanish students. She wanted to give students the opportunity to improve their spoken English and what better way to do this than by being immersed in the language for a five day stay. She wanted students to see the enjoyment they could get out of learning a new language. She did this by including outdoor activities. This allowed the students to learn the language while having the time of their lives. The philosophy of this company is total immersion in the language and it has been proven successful for the last twenty years.

Christopher Bradshaw Martínez

Head Manager & Director

Christopher is Carol’s eldest son. He has over 10 years of experience helping to grow Grupos Organizados, especially in the fields of infrastructure, training, activities and staff.

Degree in Philosophy from the University of Girona
Bachelor in English teaching from the University of Girona.
Official Language School of Girona.

Elías Martínez Bradshaw

Manager & Director

Elias is Carol’s youngest sonl. He has been linked to Grupos Organizados for over ten years. He specializes and is highly experienced in the activities offered by Grupos Organizados which include our adventure activities and water sports activities. He is in charge of the Santa Susanna center.

He has been with us for more than five years in the company and is one of those in charge of our wonderful activities.

English and activity monitors:

The rest of our team at Grupos Organizados is made up of native English monitors and qualified activity monitors. The amount varies from year to year but the general amount in total is around fifty employees.

Our goals

Our goal has two distinct and complementary purposes. First and foremost that all of the children enjoy a unique and memorable experience while growing more confidence in their oral English skills. This is achieved by creating a fun environment around children in all its aspects: sports activities in the natural environment, games, dances, songs, sea, mountain. The children have nonstop fun while always having a native English monitor accompanying them during the activities to keep the English flowing.

With all of this in mind we try to make the children realize that the English they study in school has a purpose, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We work with “Real English”. It allows the children to live in English. This allows them to see English in another way, with hope, love and that is what we seek from each group.

English is wonderful, it is the future, it is knowledge, and it is a world that children often cannot see when they are sitting in a classroom with books and grammar that they sometimes don´t understand and can find boring. This English that Grupos Organizados offers is fresh, different and entertaining.

Our monitors

Our native English speaking monitors are the core of Grupos Organizados.

A group of monitors are placed with a group from the day they arrive. They are with this group all through their programme Monday to Friday during the morning activities and afternoon activities. These monitors are unique as they only speak English with the group and they do not speak Spanish.

Our full team has been carefully selected and trained by the management team of Grupos Organizados.

When a group arrives at either of our centers they are assigned a group of monitors, taking into account we try to keep the ratio between 1 -10 and 1-12. For example, if a group from Zaragoza of 47 children from 2º ESO comes to one of our centers, they will have a group of five monitors waiting and prepared in uniform to be with them until they leave. Their mission is to make sure that this group of students enjoy and get the most out of their stay with us.

In this way the group establishes that “bond” with their group of monitors while they are with them throughout the week.

The humane treatment of the monitors is one of the most important aspects we work on during their training with Grupos Organizados before they are placed with any school group.

We know very well that if the monitor does not form that magical bond with their group the process is made more difficult and the English will not flow as naturally amongst the group which is the main purpose of the entire stay.

English in all its aspects is covered during the training of the monitors and is the base of their work. As native English speakers they know English perfectly but we teach them how to teach with a difference, how to speak slowly, how to be expressive with their body language, how to adjust to the level of the students and much more.

With all of this in mind, we can say and ensure that we at Grupos Organizados prioritise our team of native speakers, to ensure that every season our quality and service both with regard to creating a difference and the practice of the English language is at its highest standard.

What makes us different?

The big difference between Grupos Organizados and other school stays is the total immersion of the English language. All the children that come to Grupos Organizados live and enjoy this opportunity of total immersion while having the time of their lives. We can ensure and guarantee this.

This means that every group that comes to us only speaks in English from the moment they get off the bus to the day they are getting back on the bus to leave. We do not have a specific amount of hours of English per day as we do everything in English. All of this is thanks to our team of over forty native English speaking monitors that are thoroughly selected and trained for all of the children to have fun while practicing their English.

For this reason Grupos Organizados stays away from books and grammar and focuses on oral English which allows the students to learn more without even realizing it. English is always flowing.

Thus, the children have human contact with their native English speaking monitors for around seven hours a day with addition to time spent together at the disco, the beach, the swimming pool etc. They form an incredible bond of friendship that cannot be broken. This bond is formed all through speaking English and that is the magic and difference that Grupos Organizados offers.

Our programme

Our programmes are specially designed so that each and every child comes and feels included, has their space and ultimately that everyone can learn and practice English in a fun and safe environment without ever feeling excluded.

Our programmes are designed to ensure that our activities, the entertainment and the English mix together in a way that all the children feel at ease to learn.

Based on the theory of multiple intelligences by Gardner we created a programme in which the practice of the English language is proposed through many channels: dance, song, play, drawing, text, image, sport.

The child will always feel immersed in the language in a way close to their needs in which they can develop their English through a multitude of learning channels in a natural way without having any barriers.

The English at Grupos Organizados is so inclusive that absolutely all children have something to say while they are with us.
